fcjbb I love the different styles of rock’n’roll that Jake makes. I would love to see him live anywhere and everywhere. The experimental stuff is much cooler than corporate rock! It wails and really has a fine groove to it.
Favorite track: I thought it would be ‘So long, Serotonin’ but then ‘The Dregs’ came on followed by ‘114th St Devil Woman’ all different but each with a rockin’ groove I can’t get out of my head...and that’s just this album!!

about

Just prior to releasing my first album in 2005, I recorded a 4-track demo tape. I recently found this tape while digging through boxes during lockdown. I listened to it while drinking a couple bottles of wine one night and it struck me that it wasn't that bad. (Maybe that was the wine speaking...I don't know.) So much time has passed that I can't remember how or why some of these songs got changed around for their "official" release, but I thought it would be cool to share the demo tape with you guys so you can kind of hear my writing and recording process, warts and all, as they say. So I converted the tape to digital, cut up some MP3's, and that was that. And here that is now, Lower Than Lo-Fi: The '05 Demo Tape. Hope you dig it. --Tyler
