Uh Huh Huh

So there I was in an alligator tie,
With a half empty box of super-sized fries
Just an anonymous vagabond with nothing to live for
…and no place to die
I landed at a neo-night club just around the other side
That’s where I met this little hippie flower girl
…she began to philosophize
My scantily clad imagination left me wondering,
”Just what was she talking about all that time?”
Nevertheless, I politely indulged her fortune cookie mind
She said, “Hey, hey there bartender, bring me another one of those,
Bring me another one of those dark blue espressos,
‘cause I’m a punk rock dreadlock lady!”

Cement flowed beneath her vinyl skin
The V-necked intellects digested politics and told their lies that lie within
Diabolical movie reviewers stood motionless in time
I would have made a call to my friend Jesus upstairs, but I couldn’t find a dime
So my cathartic production left me a little unfulfilled on this particular eve
Green fog bounced off tie-dyed mohawks
Cuckoo clocks chimed emphatically
Across the floor strolled this girl once more
From the look in her eye I think she’d seen me before
She said, “Hey, what’s the problem over there? I’m just drinking my espresso.”
